WWE: Unreal has become one of WWE’s most talked-about projects since arriving on Netflix. While plenty of fans have enjoyed WWE’s behind-the-scenes series, others have argued it reveals too much about the wrestling business, but Maxxine Dupri doesn’t see it that way.
Dupri has long been a fan of behind-the-scenes wrestling content, so it probably shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that she’s 100% behind Unreal.
Speaking to WittyWhittier, Dupri explained why she believes fans are still only seeing a small piece of what really goes on inside WWE.
“Absolutely. I mean, I fell in love with this from Total Divas, so I’m always going to stand 10 toes down with anything that shows that other side of our business because I personally just really enjoy that.
“And I think the thing to keep in mind with Unreal is like they’re filming all year.
“So, there’s hours and hours and hours of footage for these six episodes, right? So, it’s like even though people think like, ‘Oh my gosh, we’re seeing too much,’ or this and that, like you’re still just getting a little taste, you know?”
There was also one response she had for fans who still aren’t happy with the series.
“And at the end of the day, I don’t know why everyone’s up in arms.
“If you don’t want to watch something, don’t watch it.
“Do you have no willpower? No self-discipline? Like my goodness, it’s crazy.
“I think it’s an incredible show and if you don’t like it, hit next.”
Whether fans love it or hate it, WWE: Unreal has become one of WWE’s biggest talking points of the year.
The third season has aired, but more seasons are expected, so the constant discussion over how much WWE should pull back the curtain probably isn’t ending anytime soon.
